Dogs are sweet creatures. I like to walk mine at least once a day and play with her as well.
If you're living on your own in an apartment or university campus you might have a bigger issue though because some of them don't allow pets and you have to deal with its poddy needs and food costs but you'd be in class sometimes sooo
