Been with xbox for 12 years m8. Microsoft has been being stupid since they released the kinect and that was more of a beta test than a finished product tbh. Let's list some of the crap Microsoft included with the Xbox One package: 1. Pre Owned Fees Because nobody wants to share their games with friends right? That's so stupid who would want to do that? 2. Mandatory Game Installation So what difference is there between this console and a PC? You have to install games on both now which is a big reason why people switched to console gaming. But hey I can deal with that surely they'll give us a bigger hard drive for all the installations. Nah. Only 500gb for you. Also no removing our hard drive so you can actually have a decent sized one.3. The Xbox One is no longer centered on games. The main features microsoft showed us were watching TV on it and the Apps you can install and all this shit you could be doing on a PC. There is again no difference between a PC and an Xbox. 4. 24hr DRM wtf? Just wtf? ISP has problems with their internet? Fuck you 24hr DRM. 1hr DRM if you're not using your home console? Over at your friend's house for the day? Fuck you 1hr DRM. Before people who had bad internet didn't buy the games that required it like MMO's and such but now people with bad internet don't buy Xbox ones. 5. On a good note you can give your game to a friend that has been on your friends list for 30 days and after that they're stuck with it. Another good one: Up to 10 family members can play your games from any console at any time You & one other at a time. That's REALLY cool. BUT before you can be relieved that Microsoft has finally allowed you to trade with friends publishers can block you from trading. 6. There are many more advantages to PC Gaming too. Sure, Microsoft gives you 2 free games a month from the same old bland companies every month and a few sales here and there. And another thing you can find MONTHS OLD games still at release price on xbox. Amazing! And lots of years old games are still retail price. Me
I dunno if there's a way to expand that but I can't see the other half of what I wrote but to sum it up 1. They can change anything they want anytime just like how they shut down the original xbox servers after only 8 years and a few comments to help me sum it up: Frank Foxx, "",I still don't trust Microsoft. They still seem very shady to me, the fact Microsoft had that DRM at all makes me not trust their decisions, yes they took it away but they easily could not have. and from DontWorry IllWait "Supporting Microsoft after all this stuff is like dating a person that tried to rape you."
