Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder: A disorder in which a person is unable to control behavior due to difficulty in processing neural stimuli, accompanied by an extremely high level of motor activity. Abbreviated ADHD. ADHD can affect children and adults, but it is easiest to perceive during schooling. A child with ADHD may be extremely distractible, unable to remain still, and very talkative.
I have some tips for that
1. Eliminate distractions to the best of your ability
2. (My personal favorite) The Pomodoro Technique. The technique uses a timer to break down work into intervals traditionally 25 minutes in length, separated by short breaks of 5 minutes each.
3. Make sure you are getting adequate sleep!
I'm borderline ADHD and I take a medication for it. (Adderall) and it works really well for me.
What the medicine does is it slows down the receiving ends of your nerves so that you have a filter and you slow down your actions.
It helps me focus in class and my grades have improved a lot.
EXACTLY. I SAID ADDERALL TO MY DAD AND HES LIKE "we dont want you to get those side effects bc we love you" BULLSHIT LIKE EVERY KID AT MY SCHOOL (PERSCRIPTION OR NOT) IS ON ADDERALL LIKE AIGHT
The side effects aren't even that bad though.
I haven't really noticed side effects and my doctor told me that Adderall might make you lose your appetite but all you really have to do is force yourself to eat. It might give you a headache every now and then but it goes away quickly.
The one other thing my doctor told me is that if you take Adderall and you do physical activity, it might make your heart rate increase a little more than it normally would but not to a severe extent.
okok
Im really sorry but if it makes you feel better I cant talk to my parents about anything... so yeah ik what you mean...
if you ever want to talk my Skype is TimDaBossBuscus
I understand, I have bipolar depression, and my mom thinks that I have the ability to control it without treatment. It makes me so pissed, and I try to explain it to her. She doesn't even understand, even though her dad has it, and that's probably how I got it passed along to me.
Just throwing in some personal experience, that medicine is not for everyone. It can be extremely effective for some, but for others the side effects can be pretty bad, but there are plenty of medicines to try if needed.
