The Mineplex anti-cheat system is extremely effective. The reason it bans you sometimes when you punch air just shows how extremely useful it is. The reason it did not ban the player using kill aura is that it only detects hacks such as skill aura. If you are having trouble because you are getting banned, try appealing, or just play on a different server. Unfortunately it does permanently ban innocent players, but it is a good sacrifice considering the good it does for reducing the amount of skilled people.
