Thanks for being a friend that I never meant to make. I had you on my friends list for ages and I'd never spoken to you. I guess we have to thank Raini, huh.
You lead me to MCH, which in turn lead me to make so many more friends. It helped me get away from an otherwise toxic community, and allowed me to learn more about the Mineplex community.
So yeah, thanks. Good luck with all your Overwatch adventures.

This was something that I hoped wouldn't come this soon, but I feel like at this point it's necessary if I am to not be demoted from the staff team. For the past month this has been something on my mind, and has only gotten progressively worse to the point where I believe acting upon it is the only real choice I have left.
Now, why did I do it you may ask? Well there are three main reasons why I chose to make this move.
First off (and the biggest reason) definitely had to be school. I'm currently a junior and am part way through the second semeseter. I noticed in the first semester and over the past year that my grades have dropped a bit from where they used to be. I feel like I can do better than that and have a lot of things which explain this. The most prominent being the time I put into the Mineplex server. With that, I believe it's time I moved on from it.
Secondly would be the fact that I've recently been drifting away from Minecraft and Mineplex and have driven myself into more newer games like Watch Dogs 2 and Overwatch which I've been doing in my spare time now. This has resulted in the following scenario of me coming home, doing forums work, and trying to force myself online for the sole reason of being able to unpunish players. While it's good to be helping out the community, I feel like the whole thing has become both a chore and rather ironic considering I don't enjoy going on the server I work for. I promised myself something at the beginning, and that is that I would resign the moment this became a chore. That time has come.
And finally, as you've probaly heard about a hundred different times from other resigned or demoted staff members, there are internal matters within the Mineplex staff team that I personally disagree with and some to the extent of where I refuse to tell you guys that. As for what those internal matters are, they're more in appeal and things we were told to relay to you within that whole spectrum but I'm not going to go into specifics as it would most likely get me fully removed from this community and we don't want that.
Anyways, that about sums up my reasons. To answer a few questions that I'll probably get after writing this though:
-No I will not be going anti-Mineplex. While there are things that I disagree with entirely, I believe there are a lot of good things that Mineplex has created and done as a whole. If I'm going to leave my opinion on something, I'm going to leave my whole hearted opinion on it and not jump the gun into automatically saying it's bad because it involves Mineplex.
-Chances are that I will not be trying to reinstate at any point in the future. As I said earlier, I'm partway through my junior year and will be going into senior year next year. I want to ensure that I don't mess either of those up if I want to go into an area like Computer Sciences.
-The best point of contact with me would definitely have to be either on the Mineplex Community Hangout Slack (in the pinned post) or on Discord (or the MCH Discord ). If you just want my Discord though, it's Shawn ツ#9790 .
-No I am not telling you what those internal Mineplex matters I disagree with are. End of story.
To end it all off, I wanted to give a quick shoutout to those of you who have stuck with me. Whether we met and/or talked yesterday, or have been talking for the past year or over, you all have made an impact on my life. I can't thank you enough for that. I came on to this staff team as a rather immature character, and I have come out much more mature because of it. It's all thanks to you guys, and you all have my undying gratitude. Thank you for sticking with me and making an impact on me .
