No Longer a Forum Mod: Plans for the Future
Unfortunately, as of today, I am no longer a Mineplex Forum Moderator. I was demoted due to an inability to meet quotas several times, and unfortunately I just didn't put in the amount of effort required for the team. I completely accept the demotion as fair, as I did not put in enough effort and simply didn't have time to complete my quotas.
Should I have resigned if I didn't have time? Yeah, probably. Why waste a perfectly good spot on someone who just isn't motivated to someone who really, really wants to be a Forum Mod. I'm completely accepting of the decision.
Now, it's not without saying I didn't enjoy the experience. I loved being a Forum Mod, especially for the first couple months. I really had more drive to be apart of the team, and complete quotas. The team was always helpful and did a lot to help make sure I didn't make mistakes, and would correct me if I did. But for now, that journey has come to an end.
Moving forward, I may return to the team if I find I have more time and motivation, as well as applications actually being open. I can't say when that will be, but likely not until next year. I'd like to take a break from being a Forum Mod to just enjoy spending time in-game as well as more casual forums browsing.
In terms of joining other Mineplex Sub-Teams, for now, I'm just going to stay on RP and that's it. Again, time is very constraining at the moment, and it really doesn't help to have such bad technology. The school blocking Mineplex as well as using a slow, bloated Chromebook just really doesn't help much. I'm still looking to get a proper laptop by the end of this year, but who knows if I'll get it.
Also, I will be changing my forum name back to JoePCool14, since it just makes it easier for people to know it's me. I know the poll showed more people liked Joe, I just think I like the classic name better.
Anyways, that's all I've got to say for now. I've got more YouTube videos planned, and I'll have more time to work on them going forward, as well as just being active in-game and handling your forum reports. To the Forum Ninjas and Mods: Thank you for the experience and opportunity, and I wish you only the best the future, and hopefully I can come back and work with you guys in the future.
