One year ago in August 2nd 2015 I was promoted to Helper. I can't remember much about my time as a Helper nor about the promotion. That time was full of surprises, though. I saw how much staff management had advanced from my previous staff times and I became part of something big.
I never thought that I'd be able to say that I have served as a staff member without resigning or getting demoted for 1 year! It has been an awesome ride with lot's of ups and few downs. I hope the rollercoaster cart keep on going for a long while after this anniversary! By the way, I am now the longest-serving current Moderator!
It will also be 2 years since I got staff for the first time in August 4th. To celebrate both of these events, I have decided to buy a Booster for Skyblock 1. Expect it to be used in about 1-2 hours!
Some of my closest friends know how dedicated I am and how much I want to help MCCentral. My motto on MCCentral has always been "Never give up." For the last 3 weeks or so I have been getting lots of nice comments wishing me good luck for promotions. Many players want to see me as Senior Moderator and I can't say that I wouldn't want that too.
These comments and messages make me really happy but also create lots of pressure on me. Every weekend it feels more and more devastating to disappoint you all when I didn't get promoted. It makes me feel as if I had something wrong in me.
I waited for a year to get re-promoted after my demotion and worked hard for staff. I have to admit that there were times like these when it was difficult for me, but I kept going. This is what I want to do from this point onwards. Evinreeder's resignation post was a big inspiration for me.
I will try to be the best staff member; fair, hard-working, kind and take everyone into account. I know I can easily be "side-tracked" into joking and being immature; this is something I need to fix too. I will also train even harder to achieve high scores in Mod and Reports Team Reviews.
And to all of you who are hoping to get Helper or a higher staff rank, remember this:
Every night turns eventually into morning. Never give up.
MCCentral has a new punishment system! This will involve staff members more than normal players, but it does affect players through new punishments!
Here's the biggest news:
There are now different kinds of Severities (3 in total) to Chat Offences, Gameplay Offences and Client Modification Offences. Each of these has it's own mute/ban durations and the more you have of these offences, the longer the mutes/bans get, up to permanent ban.
Staff members get a new punishment panel, through /punish. This shows all kinds of options from normal bans to warnings, revoked access to things and that kind of cool stuff! (You can probably tell Im pretty excited!)
The new Rules thread shall be released shortly to the public. If you have any questions about the new Punishment system, please ask me.
There has to be an explanation, Oh, You not Sr. Mod yet because....um...The website isn't working. Yeah, that's totally true. It'll be fixed soon. WHEN WILL U BE SR MOD XD
