Congratulations to Lukasz_ and TeddyBearrr for getting Admin!
This was a big surprise to me as I wasn't expecting promotions in the middle of the week!
On a sidenote, I am now the 2nd longest-serving staff member who is currently in the team. I just counted how much time it has been since a staff member has been (re)promoted into the team, and turns out the TOP 3 oldest staff are (excluding the Owners):
1. QueenMikayla
2. Timppali
3. xSinclare
The feedback about MCC Museum has been really positive! I'm glad that everyone is enjoying it! Recently I added CakeWars maps into the server and added ranks.
Now basically the server is hosted by a hosting company and requires money to keep it up. I decided to add donator ranks to the server so that I can fund the server while you get special permissions from donating.
I did this because I don't have the funds to pay for the hosting myself and I saw that many players would have been ready to support MCC Museum financially.
The new ranks are called Supporter and Patron. These ranks cost $10 USD and $20 USD respectively. All donations are used solely on making the server better!
Now if you would like to help me out and allow me to continue sharing the history of MCC, you can donate at http://MCCMuseum.Buycraft.net
I'm going to Belgium for a small vacation this Friday until Monday. I'll probably end up being quite active even when on vacation, but you might not see me in-game that much.
I didn't take Leave of Absence because I realized I should have done it last week. This is why I'm trying to stay active even while in Belgium.
I have managed to make MCC Museum 1.8, 1.9, 1.10 and 1.11 compatible. It was a huge project to convert all the signs, beacons, furnaces, chests and all entities from 1.11.2 to 1.8, but I managed to do it! This took me well over 11 hours, though. xD
I hope everyone appreciates the effort. Hopefully now more players will be able to join the nostalgia trip! Make sure to report any bugs to me on Enjin. I fixed the vandalism issues that I was informed about, so thanks for that!
Today I bring exciting news to all of you who love nostalgia and like looking back at the old times! I have created a server just for MCCentral, where old maps are stored.
So far I have most of the sub-server spawns and some Minigame maps.
I intend this project to be, as the name says, a museum. The idea of a museum is that you come and watch the collection. You can't damage the collection, and the same idea applies on this MCC Museum too. I hope everyone gets happiness and joy from this project. If you see bugs on the Museum, please message me.
The server isn't an official part of the MCC Network. The version you have to use is 1.11.2. No lower version works!
This is due to the problems I had with signs and some blocks when using 1.8.
Recently an increasing amount of users have visited the MCCentral Wikia, which is brilliant! Almost 500 views in a week is a lot compared to some other times when my Wikia wasn't that known. Increased amount of viewers brings a problem, however.
The amount of vandalism has increased on my Wikia. I'd greatly appreciate help from the community, but making useless and mean edits on the Wikia isn't what I want. Sometimes these users try to remove an entire page, sometimes they add inappropriate information or just try to disrespect staff.
I'd like to just say that if you are wanting to contribute towards the Wikia, or if you have new ideas for it, just PM me. I gladly take new ideas into consideration. You can even edit the articles yourself, if you find it easier. Just don't do vandalism. All vandalism attempts can easily be rollbacked by me, so it's no use.
I hope everyone enjoys the Wikia, though, and find it useful. Right now I am trying to work on the CakeWars article. http://mc-central.wikia.com
The Wikia isn't really a place for guides. It's more of a museum where all the old features are marked down. I will add the prices of current items and upgrades later.
Heeey!
I'm in need of help from you, the community! For a long time now I have wanted to get a copy of some of the awesome spawns MCC has had. I have most of the maps as copies now, but some of them I can't seem to find at all.
Here's a list of the maps I am looking for:
- The very first spawn (2013)
- The Halloween Lobby of 2013
- Lobby of February 2nd 2014 onwards (Had Skyblock, Creative + Minigames portals)
- Lobby of 2014 (Had a similar layout as we have now, except quartz houses)
- Christmas 2014 Lobby
- Skyblock 1.0 Spawn
- Factions 3.0 Market
- Prison 1.0 Spawn with the original PvP arena / Halloween arena / Christmas arena
I have pictures or videos of almost all of the maps I listed, and I can give them as a reference if you can't remember what they look like. If you think you have any of these maps, I am kindly asking you to message me on Enjin, and we can discuss more.
Whoa, I just realized that I have been staff on MCCentral for 578 days which means 1 year and 7 months.
This post isn't long but I wanted to say that I appreciate the amazing opportunity and I love all the friends I have got from MCC so far!
