For DayZ you need;

Arma II Operation Arrowhead
Arma II
DayZ Commander becuase the Arma 2 DayZ mod you get from steam doesn't work and 'DayZ Comander' is better anyway because you can get differant DayZ packs (Mods)

Talk to Doug about it. I already reported the issue to Doug over a month ago and apparently there are still bugs on the server. I do not think that Doug can fix the issue that has been appearing repeatedly for over a month now. Let's see what Doug has to say about this, ok?

Unfortunately it's a known bug that occasionally you will lose your inventory after leaving /me or /pa. This has been happening for a *very* long time now. Always make sure to empty your inventory before joining a game!
