we have identified an issue with the mob keytrades in survival, this will be resolved very shortly and the reward crate and trade mob will be moved to another location
There has been a massive amount of work going on int he background around other plugins and preparation for the survival reset. Next will be a beta test of factions. The option may be enabled/disabled, plugin changes until we get it just right, so be prepared for it to appear in vanilla soon!
Pets will have fly, more abilites and the levels will be priced appropriately to reflect this, while not detracting from players who have purchased our great jetpack rank
Pets also will NOT allow access to our VIP area
We are also looking at the option to have multiple pets and switch between them!
This option has been introduced and something that will be investigated.
It will probably be offered both as a minor voting points upgrade as well as being incorporated as default in pet master!
We are also going to look at the XP gaining by pets and the maximum limits.
looking into putting 'shopkeepers' into survival 9as per skyblock), something we could probably also put into the market /player mall too! (this will be after the reset to reduce the workload of recreating them)
As most of you are no doubt aware of by now, Mojang has published Minecraft 1.9-pre1, and intends to follow through with the final 1.9 release on Thursday the 25th of February.
We intend to follow similarly and release 1.9 versions of Bukkit, CraftBukkit, Spigot & BungeeCord at 10:00pm UTC the following day, Friday the 26th of February.
In terms of release information, everything mentioned in the old thread (apart from the date) is still very much accurate. Some additional changes not mentioned there however include a rework of the Sound and Biome enums which may affect (and break) plugins that use these APIs. A full copy of the Bukkit 1.9 API (for developers) will be pushed to git either today or tomorrow. Interested developers will have until Tuesday to review or pull request, but please note that it may be force pushed to frequently.
Versions of whatever we are currently working on will be on the public test server (as per usual), and we encourage you to give it a look and submit bug reports. Server information and details for submitting these reports are in the last announcement.
We will also be looking at some official events on TeamSpeak etc in the hours leading up to release, so check the homepage regularly for more details.
With the fairly imminenet release of 1.9 there will be the same questions around the previous big release, with new blocks, mechanics etc...when will we be upgrading?
As with last time, we will need to do a full evaluation of how this affects our current estate of plugins.
Some will need to be updated by their developers, some may even need changing as last time!
We will also need to do a reasonable amount of stability testing before the server goes 1.9,
it just isnt that easy, especially if you want to be able to enjoy the experience
As ever we will keep you updated, but will not sacrifice stability and server enjoyment for the hype of saying we were one of the first to be on 1.9!
Others will no doubt just put it straight in, but at the expense of no plugins/faulty plugins or severe stabiity issues.
We have never been that kind of server..... hence our 99.999% uptime!
First the answer to the most asked question: We are currently planning to release the final version of Minecraft 1.9 next week, on Thursday, 25th of February 2016.
