I might start posting more often, bcuz my wall is ded xD but seriously, I like to share what I like with you all. But yeah, not going to work tomorrow, but I do have school ._.
I find it quite strange, how I finished Catherine a month after watching the first episode. I shared the video VIA here on July 2nd, and I finished my research/analysis of the game at least a month later. I find that quite strange really
So I decided to watch Catherine for the last time, because I wanted to figure out another piece of the puzzle. This may be my final post relating to the game, but I loved it quite a bit, despite the sexual nature of it. Anyway, let us get to the point.
The first question I had was “Why did Vincent have a nightmare before Day 1”? This is sort of hard to figure out, but on Day 8, at the Stray Sheep, Boss states an important thing; men who do not look to father children have nightmares. Vincent didn’t want to have children with Katherine at the time, which may explain why he is put into the Underground Cemetery. On Day 2 or Day 3, Katherine reveals she is pregnant, with Vincent reacting in a way indicating he didn’t want that to happen.
On Day 8, Katherine meets Vincent, but then Catherine appears behind him, despite the room being empty. Now…after carefully analyzing that section, I read something on the wiki, saying that Vincent broke up with Catherine, so I had to look back on Day 7. Catherine states that Vincent can still have fun with Katherine, as long as she (Catherine) is her ‘Number One’ girl. After the pregnancy is mentioned, and Vincent stating he can no longer see her, she breaks down. This makes me think that Catherine planned to kill Katherine, but how do you enter a nightmare while you are awake?
Turns out Day 8 was actually a dream. Once you complete Stage 8-1 also known as the Cathedral, Katherine is next to Vincent’s bed. The only issue here...Katherine actually wakes him up, and she has never heard of Catherine. Katherine states that Vincent was moving around in his sleep. If you look at the times for Day 8, before Stage 8-1 and after Stage 8-1, there is a 4 second difference. This indicates that it was in fact a dream.
If there is anything you want me to try and answer, I would be quite glad to. Until then...Catherine is a game I love quite a bit, but I do look forward to figuring out the pieces to the puzzle...
