So, small supposedly feathered dinosaur, concerning the IQ gaps observed between 'races',

If we do consider that IQ does not provide a full picture of intelligence, in addition to various non-genetic factors which influence IQ test results, would you say that we can reasonably take the IQ gap as evidence in biological racial discussions?

Virtually nothing in the paper did anything to discredit IQ.

The most glaring problem is that "intelligence" was not properly defined. It wasn't defined at all, actually. How exactly is a paper supposed to prove that IQ doesn't predict intelligence, when it won't even define what intelligence is in the first place?

Oh, and certain scores correlated with certain factors (whether the individuals being tested were smokers, for example). Obviously, this doesn't automatically mean anything other than a correlation existing, but the articles decided this must mean that those factors must be affecting the scores directly. Oh, but just the cultural ones - genetic correlations aren't real or significant, clearly.

This is but another example of the media getting away with misinterpreting, distorting, or outright fabricating the conclusions and implications of data to sell a marketable idea (in this case: IQ doesn't work, metrics are bad, people are immeasurably special snowflakes and differences in measured cognitive capacity are obviously not relevant at all).

The closest the paper came to discrediting IQ was by showing that the tests made for the study were more comprehensive than IQ.

If we do consider that IQ does not provide a full picture of intelligence,

Obviously. While the tests used in the study are more comprehensive than traditional IQ testing, they are:

1) Significantly correlated with IQ and "g" in most significant aspects

and

2) Not used as widely, as commonly, and for as long a time as IQ testing.

While IQ is not the absolute best metric for cognitive capacity, there is a massive amount of data that has been collected with it (and, as this and other studies have shown, is nonetheless reliable to a significant degree)

would you say that we can reasonably take the IQ gap as evidence in biological racial discussions

An gap not adjusted fro non-genetic factors? No. Any gap that hasn't been adjusted for factors which could influence it, should not be taken as

Well, you can just ask for some more sources.
(Sort of eh-ish)
http://select.nytimes.com/2007/09/14/opinion/14brooks.html?_r=0

This paper refers to a high relation between income/social status and IQ, the general environmental effects, as well as mentions to objections to what level IQ reflects 'actual' intelligence. It also explores the whole racial IQ 'thing' (and mentions that there is little genetic evidence for it).
http://psych.colorado.edu/~carey/pdfFiles/IQ_Neisser2.pdf

This paper gives information on the heritability of IQ; there are changes in the heritability with age, which can, of course, throw off IQ heritability studies if the age (and rate of physical maturity) aren't taken into account.

Another thing about IQ reliability.

Grammar and spelling aside, have your research sources corrected for those?

[bad dubstep playing]

What is the difference between 'good' and 'bad' dubstep?
Good dubstep has a fine buildup, a clear beat, sensational drops, and have clear effort put into it. Also, the artist and the sound setup is a main contributor to the quality of electronic music.

Bad dustep lacks a clear melody, favors loudness over harmony, disappointing drops, lackluster buildups, etc...

Just think;
"Could this be a minecraft 12-year-olds intro?"
"Does the artist have X's in their name?"
"What about numbers?"
"Did you need to turn down your headphones at the drop?"
"Are all the comments complimenting the artist?"
"Is it by Tristam?"

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may be listening to bad dubstep...
"Also, the artist...is a main contributor to the quality of electronic music."
Obviously the person who makes it determines the quality. If you mean that something made by a particular person is always good, then no, that is a faulty assumption.
I said it was a main contributor. Implying there are other things that make it good. I never implied that something made by a particular person is always good.

Thoughts on feminism in general (not radical, but the belief that women and men are equal, not above one another)
4
the belief that women and men are equal,

Disagree. Men and women are demonstrably unequal among many (if not all) important metrics.

Though this does depend on how "equal" is being defined - obviously, being better at one thing doesn't make you automatically superior overall (beyond that thing in specific).

tl;dr, too vague but seems dumb.

I don't think most humans are equal, let alone genders.
If everyone was totally equal, then we'd all be clones.
Also, equality in these senses generally refers to that all people bear equal rights and are viewed equally under the law.
That's not feminism. That's equality.

Feminism is intended to be equality. Considering the lowest common denominator, did you really expect it to be followed properly?
Feminism wants equality among all females. : ^ )

Yes. Yes it is.
The UN, supposedly designed to make peace (or something on that order), doesn't do a very good job of it.
