Can you help me with 1.9 everytime I try and go on a server and it says Downloading terrain it crashes me some how but it isnt minecraft....

Can someone help me? Whenever I click "Play" in the Minecraft launcher, everything is normal and the launcher closes as it normally does. But for some reason the MoJang screen never shows up.

Ehm. If you look in your minecraft folders to see if there's anything wrong? I don't know what to look for in the folder though. :/ The other suggestion is deleting minecraft and redownloading it
